Creation of inhabitable space for human, water, and vegetation

Orthographic projection drawing showing the design of a mobile water vessel. The parameters of this piece is 15’x12’x12’ with the drawing and physical model at half inch scale.

Diagram to show the movement of the movement of the vessel: The vessel starts with the platform and basin elevated. As a person walks on the ramp-like structure, the platform lowers simultaneously with the lowering ramp structures. The movement continues when there is water added to the vessel. As water increases, the basin lowers, and brings the sides together. The vessel is at full water capacity when the sides are squeezing the basin in place, and it no longer lowers. All of these movements are controlled by string systems.

Orthographic projection drawing showing the design of a plant vessel. The parameters of this piece is 15’x12’x12’ with the drawing and physical model at half inch scale. The occupant is guided by a structural screening system that also diffuses the amount of light entering the vessel. They are guided to a staircase that leads them to the main vessel at the top, where they find a rose garden.

Isometric drawing showing the design of the plant and water vessel.
