Exploration of conceptual form and steriotomic mass

Orthographic projection drawing of final design 101 project: The plan view is the triangle in the middle, spreading to the underlaid square intersecting with the elevations and sections. The parameters of this piece is 21’x21’x15’, with the physical model at half inch scale and the drawings at quarter inch scale. The project is abstract and meant to make the inhabitant feel uncomfortable when walking through the space.

Experimental drawing to show  the way the landscape is split into three different levels, reflective of the stereotomic mass, in the center of the landscape, split into two different masses. The inhabitant starts at the bottom level and is guided throughout the landscape through a series of walls, ramps, and tunnels. The vertical layout of this drawing is representative of the vertical layout of the landscape being represented.

Comic strip showing the experience one would go through if they were to walk through the landscape. It shows all of the guiding ramps and walls, and the hidden passageways in the project.

Photos of the physical models of the landscape. It is a sectional model with the same cuts shown in the experimental drawing. The materials used were museum board, chipboard, and basswood sticks.
